if i were you i would go with the 2nd one with a few things changed.
first of all, your really going to want a 7200RPM harddrive for gamming, thats a storage HD, waist of money if thats going to be your only HD.
Second. get at least 500watt power supply, most higher end video cards require that. (never pay $11 for a power supply screams fry my comp) Antec is one of the best most trusted power supplies, however cheapest brand i trust is coolmaster, i have their 500 watt and it runs great. CPU cooler isnt really necessary unless you plan on overclocking your cpu (if you dont know what that means, then dont buy one now, but it later). 8gb of ram should be enough for if all your really going to be doing is mxs, you can get more if you want, but i wouldnt do anything less then 8 if i were you, being that 4 is reccomended now. other then that everything seems good to me, again if you just remind me on TS to talk to you about it im all ears.

Personal oppinion comming in, i perosnally think ATI cards are buggy and would go with Nvidia. you could get a 650 for around the same price, that being said, alot of people love ATI and in the end, you cant go wrong either way.

be careful jacob, an old comp with old an old processor is going to bottle neck almost any good modern video card.
